Initially active from 1976 to 1979, the Dead Boys were from Cleveland, OH and relocated to New York to become one of the first US punk bands signed to Sire Records, along with The Ramones. If you are unfamiliar with their sound then this is about as perfect a place to start as any. A stone classic. Just try listening to "Sonic Reducer" and not being incited to wreck the room...
