S.K.V. + CazU-23 – 転–Marobashi LP
Sakevi Yokoyama of G.I.S.M. builds on his legacy of experimental, noise, and avant garde music previously explored on such releases as the S.K.V. + Jojo “Mammilia” LP (1987), G.I.S.M.’s “SoniCrime TheRapy” (1998), and his solo album “The War” (2003). This time his voice joins CazU-23, a visionary guitarist and close friend of Chelsea from Death Side. Cazu cut his teeth playing in Japanese HC bands like Blaze, Slowmotions, Sticks in Throat, and eventually in the final lineup of G.I.S.M. He currently plays in the revolutionary hardcore band Turtle Island in addition to his solo work. This solo work Sakevi practiced vocals with, when G.I.S.M. geared up to play regularly in 2016, and from that, this collaboration was born. “転 – Marobashi” presents an improvisational masterpiece, an organic swell of emotions both light and dark, and takes you on a journey showing the true power and artistic creativity of both of these creators. Extensive liner notes and history by Jojo Hiroshige (Hijokaidan / Alchemy Records), Naohiro Ukawa (Dommune / S.K.V. & G.I.S.M. VJ), and CazU-23
