AMBIENT NOISE - I Was There At The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 12"

There was a lot of mystery around this band. Some sources say they’re from New Jersey, some say Albany/Corning some even let it go as plain as Upstate NY. Shit, I’ve even seen them referenced as a Texas band (that is just lazy). My guess is, Ambient Noise were most likely Bard College students doing a fake punk band for kicks. Bard is a well-to-do liberal arts college that is just the kind of environment to foster such wacky behavior. Kids those days… When it was still a thing, Hyped2Death said: “Ambient Noise hit a studio in Red Hook, recorded four songs and parted ways.” Has anyone ever heard the other two songs? -Emmy Hilmister / @motorheadreference (2021)
